The characteristics of many LED street lamps are modular structure, modules with high protection performance, and the modules and actuators are connected by a highly protected waterproof connection wire. However, some LED street lamps are full-size, with tempered glass and little or no heat sink on the back. There are also some LED street lamps which are in the majority of the whole page type and are oriented by safety regulations. However, they are mainly used in modular LED street lamps.

Because of the breathing effect in outdoor LED street lamps, the breathing effect leads to the gas exchange in the wall, which causes the toxic and harmful gas from outside to enter the lamp chamber and corrodes the unprotected lamp beads and aluminum substrate, resulting in dead lights. To solve this problem, many innovative designs have appeared in China. For example, the PCB board is filled with glue to prevent water, so as to solve the failure problem of lamp bead and PCB board water being corroded.

China first proposed the concept of modular LED street lamp, which can solve many problems in the field of high-power LED street lamps such as heat dissipation, waterproofing, light distribution, serialization, maintenance and universality through standardized LED modules.
